This deliciously simple and easy smoothie bowl recipe starts with blended frozen berries, banana and Califia Farms™ unsweetened almond milk. Topped with fresh fruit, almonds, coconut and Cinnamon Chex™ Cereal for a perfect crunch, this berry banana smoothie bowl is gluten free and dairy free. Customize your toppings as you wish—we like to complete ours with a drizzle of almond butter for a bowl that is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Preparation
  1. In blender, combine the frozen berries, half of the banana slices and the almond milk. Blend until smooth and thick, stopping the blender occasionally to stir mixture. If necessary, add a tablespoon at a time (up to 3 tablespoons) of additional almond milk, to blend. (Mixture will be thick.)
  2. Transfer the mixture to two small chilled bowls. Top each with cereal, fresh berries, remaining banana slices, coconut chips and almonds; drizzle with almond butter. Serve immediately.
Tips
  • If you have one, a high-speed blender with a tamper works best for blending a thick smoothie mixture. A regular blender also works but may require stirring and adding additional liquid to blend. The thick mixture is essential to supporting your delicious toppings.
  • For easy drizzling, place almond butter in small resealable food-storage plastic bag. Cut small hole in 1 corner of bag. Drizzle over tops of bowls.
  • Additional topping ideas include pepita seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, cacao nibs. For more sweetness, add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey.
  • Chilling your bowls in the freezer before filling helps keep your smoothie mixture cold.
