Ingredients
- 9 cups Rice Chex™ Cereal, Corn Chex™ Cereal or Chocolate Chex™ Cereal (or combination)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ Cereal
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Preparation
- Into large bowl, measure Chex™ Cereal; set aside.
- In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
- Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool completely, about 30 minutes. Stir in Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ Cereal and marshmallows. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Tips
- Microwave ovens vary, so keep careful watch when melting chocolate mixture.
- For a sweet and salty twist, add candy-coated chocolate candies and salted peanuts to the mix.
- For best results, be sure to shake the plastic bag vigorously to coat the cereal mixture evenly with powdered sugar.
