| 3 | cups Corn Chex® cereal |
| 3 | cups Chocolate Chex® cereal |
| 2 | cups Cinnamon Chex® cereal |
| 1 | cup whole cashews |
| 1/3 | cup packed brown sugar |
| 6 | tablespoons butter or margarine |
| 2 | tablespoons light corn syrup |
| 2 | teaspoons ground ancho chile pepper |
| 1/4 | teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne) |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons vanilla |
| 1 | cup dark chocolate chips |

| Pecan halves can be used in place of the cashews. |

| Dried ancho chile peppers are slightly fruity in flavor and the sweetest of the dried chiles. |
| 1. | In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and cashews. |
| 2. | In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, chili and red pepper uncovered on high about 1 1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated. |
| 3. | Microwave uncovered on high 5 to 6 minutes, stirring after every minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Break into bite-size pieces; stir in chocolate chips. Store in airtight container. |
