Rice Chex®Wheat Chex®
Ingredients
4cups Rice Chex® cereal
4cups Wheat Chex® cereal
2cups bite-size cheese crackers
1cup bite-size pretzel twists
6tablespoons butter or margarine
3tablespoons steak sauce
1tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1cup French-fried onions
1cup salted peanuts
1tablespoon onion powder
2teaspoons garlic powder
Tips
Try mixed nuts in place of the peanuts.
Preparation Directions
1.In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, crackers and pretzels.
2.In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on high about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
3.Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir in onions and peanuts. Sprinkle with onion and garlic powders; toss until evenly coated. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.
