Mushroom-Herb Stuffing
Move over, croutons. Here’s a flavorful and delicious stuffing based on crispy Chex® cereal.

13 servings (1/2 cup each) |
| 2 | eggs, slightly beaten |
| 1 3/4 | cups Progresso® chicken broth (from 32-oz carton) |
| 1 | package (0.9 oz) spring vegetable-flavored soup mix |
| 2 | tablespoons dried chopped onion |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons poultry seasoning |
| 1 | can (4 oz) Green Giant® mushroom pieces and stems, drained |
| 9 | cups Corn Chex® or Rice Chex® cereal or combination |

| For sausage stuffing, stir in a 12-ounce package of cooked and drained bulk pork sausage just before adding the cereal. |

| This is enough stuffing for an average 12-pound turkey. Or use some to stuff a roasting chicken, and bake the rest. |
| 1. | Heat oven to 350°F. Spray with cooking spray or grease 2-quart casserole. |
| 2. | In large bowl, mix all ingredients in order listed, stirring just until cereal begins to soften. Spread in casserole. |
| 3. | Cover and bake 50 minutes. Or if desired, use as stuffing for poultry or pork. |
